The graft line of this tree is clearly visible on this cold winter afternoon.


One periodically find pumps like this along the side of central valley canals. They seem so odd as they intrude into the silence of the orchard.

Canal No. 20

This fisheye perspective on a canal highlights the strange green pipes that appear now and then and seem designed to pump water into the canal, perhaps from a well.

Winter Bark

The bark of this tree had an interesting tinge of orange color that showed in the cracks and stood out strangely in the cold blue light of the winter afternoon.

Fountain No. 2

The multi-layered deposits of minerals render a three dimensional look on this vine covered blue enamel fountain.
