Hot Air

These hot air balloons were delightful floaty pillows of air as they were being prepared for the first shot of hot air.

Parking Lot

This light post was shot in a Las Vegas parking lot after a big rain storm had paused in the early morning.

San Miguel Sky

Early spring can include some very dramatic evening skies in San Miguel

Modesto Sky

Sometimes we get some very dramatic skies in the Central California Valley.

La Herradura

La Herradura means horseshoe or bridlepath depending on the context. In this case, I think this was an equestrian tack shop.

Jardín Principal

The stairs rising from the street up to the Jardín Principal have an unmistakable character all their own.

Weathered Wall No. 14

What can I say other than, what an amazing color!

Portal No. 46

I really enjoyed how this deep cracks and rusty ironwork stood out and amplified the unusual, Easter egg-like, blue of this San Miguel door.

Iglésia No. 13

This massive buttress reveals its hand made nature as the afternoon sunlight skips across its imperfect surface.

Weathered Wall No. 13

I could probably spend a lifetime photographing surfaces like this. There is so much to look and and see, from far away, and up close, that I never grow tired of the textures, colors and patterns.

Shadows No. 8

The shadows in this murky San Miguel park fountain provide great contrast for the more reflect areas at the bottom that practically glow in the sunlight.

Portal No. 45

San Miguel offers an endless spectrum of dramatically colored, textured and configured doorways.

Shadows No. 7

The palm tree shadows are sharp and crisp, with the bright sun cutting through the crystal mountain air of San Miguel, and the shadows contrast well, with both the sumptuous cantaloupe orange and coarse grey stucco wall surfaces.

Portal No. 44

This San Miguel window drew my attention with the gritty patina of grime aggregated over the ages and the blood red paint on the side.

Cigarette Boat

The cigarette boat races at the Lake of the Ozarks are pretty impressive, and the boats can be quite outrageous; both in performance and graphics.

Wisteria

Wisteria explodes with lush and profuse blooms and envelopes you with perfume, then, as quickly as it came, it fades away into green foliage.

Silo No. 10

I periodically return to the ruins of a farm that includes this silo because I find it offers such a striking image.
