This walnut tree is meant to be protected by this white paint, but from what, bugs, diseases, or roadside attacks from motorists that need all the help we can give them to be sure that they see these trees, and therefore, avoid running into them.

Remains

Mounds of debris are separated from the harvest nuts during the next stage of the process after they have been shaken from the trees and collected.

Nut Harvesting

Shaken from the trees, the nuts are raked into rows for collection using this ominous looking tractor equipment.

Soil Prep

This tractor equipment is a somewhat medieval looking device when taken out of context.
